One of the biggest mistakes thoughtful, introverted men make is assuming that attraction works the same way for women that it does for men. It only makes sense that since men are attracted to looks and sweet personalities, it’s the same for women, right? As a consequence, many men try to work the same angle. They start wearing nice clothes, and try to be the nicest guy in the world.

Many introverted men shiver and shake at the thought of going to parties, bars and clubs. On the other hand, some introverts like going to a cool social event or a club with good music, but they feel like they have no clue how to approach women in those venues.

The times of the raging, cocky, alpha-male asshole are long gone. And that’s a good thing. But is our masculinity better off these days? I don’t think so. The pendulum has swung in the total opposite direction – toward the feminine wuss! When I talk to men about how they feel about dating, they tell me they feel helpless and hopeless.

There’s a legendary story about Hugh Hefner that gets passed around... In the 70s, Hugh met Barbi Brenton and invited her out on a date. He was almost 50. She was 21. At a certain point during their date, she said, “I’ve never dated anyone over 25.” To which Hugh replied, “That’s okay. Neither have I.”
